Description
In previous versions players could obtain Dirt Fragments by destroying dirt blocks but this was removed in A17 and therefore this page is only still useful for those who play older versions such as the console versions.
No tool is required to gather Dirt Fragments, but a shovel (e.g. Iron Shovel) will greatly increase the player's gathering speed.
Dirt Fragments are most commonly used to craft Fertilizer, Mushroom Spores, and different styles of dirt blocks. See below for a complete list.
